Celebrating 130 Years

Welcome to the Ministerial Department

Dr Mark Braithwaite,
Ministerial Secretary

“Service to pastors, their families and elders”

Consecrated Vessels of the Fragrance of Christ

In surrender, prayer and diligent study, we allow God to lead us in triumph in Christ so that we might diffuse His knowledge in every place, building up His kingdom and preparing for His second advent

Knowledge, benevolence, eloquence, gratitude and zeal are all aids in the good     work; but without the love of Jesus in the heart, the work of the Christian minister is a failure (Desire of Ages, p. 815).

The gospel we present for the saving of souls must be the gospel by which our own souls are saved. Only through a living faith in Christ as a personal Savior is it possible to make our influence felt in a skeptical world.  If we are to draw sinners out of the swift flowing current, our own feet must be firmly set on the rock, Christ Jesus (Ministry of Healing, pp. 469, 470).

To allow the Holy Spirit who called us to the “Ministry of Reconciliation” to unite us as one as we allow His regenerating power to take effect in our lives, bearing fruit to God’s glory; with  the anticipated joy of hearing well done enter into the joys of my kingdom.

Areas of emphasis:

  • Positive pastoral leadership
  • Family wellness and stability
  •  Support for the needs of shepherddesses
  • Evangelism
  • Professional growth and development
  • Evaluation
  • Elders nurturing,  training, motivating and equipping
  • Outreach to clergy of other denominations

The Association recognizes that the complexity and challenges of ministry many times calls for multi-tasking. It also calls for balance of time between the church in the home and the church in the community.  The body of Christ is equipped with all the talents necessary to accomplish the work. It is our desire to provide encouragement and support to pastors so that their family can remain stable and healthy while they provide meaningful and effective ministry to all.

Christ is coming soon… Get ready!
